• Swamp field located in the Chevron Nigeria operated OML 49, south of Koko, Delta State

• Discovered by Cheveron in 1992, present interest focused on the 5 reservoirs (AA, A, D, G and M) discovered by Omefejo-1

• The concession area is c.9 sq.km and contains several faults and faultrelated folds that provide structures for hydrocarbon accumulation

• The field is contained in sands of the Agbada formation and alternate shales provide a seal. The underlying Akata shale is the main source rock in the region

• Originally called Bime-3 (renamed Omofejo-1) was drilled as a vertical hole, it reached 12,542ft MD and it found hydrocarbon bearing sands from 9,900ft – 12,500 ft MD
